October Activities

 School is in full force now and we have lots of activities going on!  I'll try to sum it up in one post for the month of October!  As I mentioned, Avery quit cross country.  In Elementary, the kids participate in the Bruin Mile which is for all schools to compete and run a mile.  My kids hate it!  Again the excuse: running is not fun.  Which is why I said adios to cross country for probably forever!  But we still have them do the Bruin Mile and they are always glad when its over.  Ashton hasn't started it yet, usually they wait until 2nd or 3rd grade.  Here is Addison on the downhill stretch.  

 And here is Austin close to the finish line.  I was so proud of him for giving it everything he had at the end!  They do the runs according to grade and with boys and girls separate so there are a lot of races.

 Here is some of our 5th grade boys ready to race.  These are Austin's closest friends at school:  Hayden Wood, Silas Early and Jacoby Faust.

Another activity that comes up in October is the National Walk to School Day.  The kids actually really love this!  It's walking, not running after all!   

Avery is still in choir and really enjoys it.  She has a new teacher this year and it's a little harder to get used to his style but they really sound amazing.  Here she is after her fall choir concert with a couple of her friends, Peyton Winter and Jadyn Keeler.

All the grades at Ranch Heights take their turn performing for an assembly.  This was at the end of Austin's performance.

 I mentioned before that Randy is occasionally getting tickets to a suite at the BOK building in Tulsa.  We've been super lucky to be able to see some amazing concerts!  This was when we went to see Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry.

 And this picture was taken in the suite when we saw Blake Shelton in concert.  Holy cow, you can tell he is an Oklahoma Boy!  Not only was the concert amazing and funny, but the crowds were loving it!  I thought we were at a rock concert!

 On this particular night, we were supposed to be at the Keith Urban concert.  We had tickets but it was also the last home football game of our Bartlesville Bruins.  So where did we go???  The life of a small town girl! :)  Gooooo Bruins!!

 October also consisted of a lot of soccer games!  It actually turned cold a little earlier this year.

If Randy's bundled up you know its cold!  This was a really early soccer game in Tulsa!

We froze our little hiney's off!  But that's what we do for each other!!!  I hope our kids always know how much we love them!!
