Go-carting in Branson, MO

There was a go-cart place up in Branson that we thought looked like a lot of fun. It was called Wild Woody's, and it wound up about three stories then came back down. It turned out to not be as great as everyone thought! The kids hated it... and the adults said it went really slow. But they had another regular course that everyone enjoyed! Here is Randy and Austin ready to drive on the Wild Woody.

Sibling rivalry never ends! Randy and Julie were racing and look what happened! Randy and Julie are smiling, but Tanner is not a happy camper!!

Avery rode with Grandma John. Like I said, she didn't like the Wild Woody ride, but this was the other course and she had a blast on it!

Poor Addie and I had to just sit and watch! I found this little train that she rode while we waited for the others to be done. Everytime it stopped, she wanted it started again. I just kept putting quarter after quarter into that thing!!

Dinosaur Canyon Golf

This dinosaur miniture golf course was on the same route as our resort, so the kids saw it everyday. And everyday they asked to play it... even Addie said "dinosaur" when we would drive by.

So we tried it out! It was a lot of fun. One of holes was in a volcano. I think Austin was more interested in having his picture taken with all the dinosaurs than golfing! However, he did get a hole in one!

Here's my poser! Avery played really well, she also had a hole in one!

They gave Addie a little plastic putter to play with and she really enjoyed that. In the end, we all had at least one hole-in-one... but more importantly we all had a fun time!

Silver Dollar City

We were so excited to go to Silver Dollar City!! But we didn't think everyone else in the WORLD was excited to be there too!!! It was so crowded- tons more than I've ever seen!!

We did manage to get a few rides in... Avery rode a roller coaster with her Aunt Julie, and this Dumbo ride with Randy. Austin rode Dumbo twice with me and then the teapot ride.

Then we went over to this building where Austin and Addison had a BLAST! There were balls that you could put inside vacuums and shoot out of guns. They could have stayed there all day, but I thought it was really LOUD!

And you can't go to any theme park without cotton candy!! They had blue mouths, hands and clothes before all was said and done. I wish they made white cotton candy! We love Silver Dollar City... but I'm not sure we will try it again during Spring Break!

Playing at the park

We had to play at the park!! This was one of those activities we did more than once while on vacation. It's a great way to get some of that energy out!!

Addie had a great time on the swing. If it was up to her I think we would still be there with me pushing.

Here's Addie and Austin in the truck. How nice of Austin to drive his sister around!

Avery enjoying swinging really high and then jumping off. I remember doing that all the time as a kid and never thinking twice... but I cringed every time I watched her do it!

In the spirit of GREEN!!

We were in Branson for St. Patricks Day so we were sure to pack our GREEN!!! Avery noticed a lot of people not wearing green! We kept telling her to go pinch them... but for some reason she refused!

We went to the fishing hatchery in Branson. The kids had a fun time feeding the fish and seeing all the different stages- they fed the baby fish the most! Notice the cages over the top... I liked it because the kids couldn't fall into the water but the real reason for them was to keep all the birds away!

Addie's not quite sure what to do with the food, but she got a hang of it!

After that, we went miniture golfing at Falls Creek. We actually went there a couple of times because it was free! That's what you need when the kids are just learning how to play the game! Here's Grandma John helping Avery with her swing.

HIM OR ME

Looks like I've been tagged again... thanks Amanda!!! I still love you!!! It was fun reading yours. So, here it goes:

HIM OR ME

What is his name? Randy Edward
How long did you date? We dated for two years, wrote letters for two years (he was on a mission for our church) and then dated for another 6 months before we got engaged! Yes, you could say I knew what I was getting myself into!!
How old is he? 30
Who eats more? Lately, it has definitely been me! He was in a contest with his family to lose weight while I've been in another contest with my little "bun in the oven" to gain weight! By the way, he won the contest!! Good job, honey! He lost 25 lbs.
Who said I love you first? Randy definitely said it first!
Who is smarter? I have no problem saying Randy is smarter than me!
Whose temper is worse? I don't know, we are both really competitive... most people wouldn't think I have a temper but as one of my friends has said- I become a different person once I step onto a court!
Who does the laundry? Me, myself and I.
Who does the dishes? I do. His dishes do make it to the sink but never quite get into that dishwasher!
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? When we got married, Randy always slept on the side that was closest to the door because I was always afraid of someone coming in (Randy tells me I watch too many 20/20 and Dateline shows) but now I sleep on the right side, which is closest to the door. I moved over there when we had Addie so it would be easier for me to get up and get her and just never moved back! Plus we have a security system now so I'm not as paranoid!
Who pays the bills? He does.
Who cooks dinner? I do. :) I'm laughing right now because I don't cook that often! Randy is picky and doesn't like half the things I make. I have gotten better as far as only cooking things he likes when I know he will be home for dinner and cooking things I like when I know I'm just cooking for the kids and I!!
Who drives when you are together? He does, he can't stand my driving. The only times I drive is if we are going far distances and he wants to sleep.
Who is more stubborn? I am.
Whose parents do you see the most? We see both quite a bit since we live in the same town, but Nana (my mom) is are life-saver, money-saver, babysitter! THANK YOU!!
Who proposed? He did.
Who has more friends? He does, but I think I have more life-long close friends that I consider priceless.
Who has more siblings? He does- but it's close! We both fall right in the middle of large families!
Who wears the pants in the family? I know he appreciates and always seeks my advice... but he wears the pants! I'm a good supporter!

So... now it's my turn to tag! Go for it Amy!! :)

Happy Valentine's Day

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's day. Ours started very early! The night before I told the kids if they would go to bed on time there would be a surprise for Valentine's day. So Austin woke us up at 6am ready for his surprise. He really was happy when he woke up, even though the pictures say otherwise! He was upset because we only have two barstools and Addie likes to sit up there too so he was sitting on a cold trash can! We had pink donuts, pink milk and chocolate candy for breakfast. The kids had a fun day at school and brought home lots of candy. Avery also brought home flowers, a balloon and a little teddy bear with candy from her dad. That night Randy and I went out to dinner and a movie while the kids enjoyed a candlelight dinner with their Nana. It was a fun night!
