Weekend in Utah
Randy and I went to Utah recently. My brother was graduating with his Masters in Accounting from BYU so we used that as our excuse to go back up for a visit! I hadn't been up there since I graduated from BYU 8 years ago... it was good to be back! I love the mountains and it was nice to catch up with old friends! We took Addie with us since she was still young enough to sit on our laps. I was worried, but she did great! I forgot my camera most of the time, but here are a few pictures from our trip.

Spring Soccer
Avery is playing with the Queen Bees again. They kept most of the same players from last year which has been nice. I think they are really playing well together and you can see a lot of improvement in each of them. Avery is really aggressive and enjoys playing... of course she is more eager for her games if they are not first thing in the morning! Her favorite position is forward... she is really good at scoring goals.
Austins team is still called the Flames, however they have switched colors. Most of the kids on his team are not the same from last year and I think he has had a harder time adjusting.
It's a struggle getting him to his soccer games because they are always at 3pm and he is ready for a nap by that time! But once he gets going he has a good time. He has definitely improved from last year... hopefully he will want to stick with it for a few more years.

Spring Concerts
Austin had a Spring Concert at the Bartlesville High School again. This time we didn't get there as early so we were up on the balcony! These things are a mad house! But it was super cute to see all the little kids. Austin was a flower and they sang some really cute songs.

I love this picture of him! I know he is thinking "when are we going to start!" He actually had a really good time and did all the hand motions and sang all the words!
Avery's spring concert was at her school during the day. She sang very well and got to play the fish bone instrument in one of the songs. I didn't realize she was also going to get an award that day. I think it was for showing excellence in class. Anyway, it's a Ranch Heights Wranglers sticker that goes on your car. I don't like stickers on my car... so hopefully she will forget about it! But I was very proud of her!
Since Avery's concert was during the day, Addie and I were the only ones who made it. Addie enjoyed it. We got there early so we could sit next to the aisle and she could stay in her umbrella stroller. That was more for me than her!

Happy 7th Birthday Avery!
I think I'm always more surprised with how old Avery is each year than I am with the other kids... since she is my oldest! I can't believe I'm a mother to a 7 year old! I know I will say that every year... it just goes by so fast! Here we are back at the donut shop! We love our chocolate glazed donunts!!!
Addie has to take on either the donut holes or just glazed... no chocolate. But she doesn't seem to mind! Notice Austin really trying to get what's left on his face. We don't want to waste anything!!
We weren't going to make a big deal out of this year's birthdays... but Randy talked me into a last minute sleepover with some of Avery's friends. They had a really good time! I have some great videos of the girls dancing that I'm going to be pulling out at Avery's 16th birthday!

Happy 5th Birthday Austin!
We always start off our mornings at the donut shop on birthdays!
Austin invited a few friends to hang out for his birthday. We started at McDonalds for dinner and fun.
Next we headed home to bowl on the Wii. We actually took the boys to the bowling alley but they only had one lane with bumpers and it was being used by a boy scout troop... and the other bowling alley was holding a tournament. The boys didn't seem to mind... they had just as much fun playing the Wii. Here is Austin getting a strike!
And here is one more picture at the end of the party. Happy Birthday, Austin. I can't believe you're FIVE!!!

Easter Egg Hunt

We were traveling back from Branson on Easter Sunday, but Saturday they had an egg hunt up there at one of their outlet malls. We thought we would try it out!

There was a seperate section for toddlers, so Randy took Addie over there. I grabbed one quick picture of the kids together before Addie and Randy took off.

We tried to tell Avery which eggs to pick up first. Some of the eggs were prize eggs... she ran really hard and was able to grab a couple of the prize eggs.

We also tried to tell Austin and his cousin, Tanner, to grab as many eggs as they could... but they got caught in the moment and just kind of ran around! But they had a lot of fun and that's what really matters!

Spring Break in Branson, MO
We went over to Branson for Spring Break this year. We had such a good time! We were there for 7 days but it felt like 3!! Our resort had an indoor pool... so the kids swam at least once a day if not more.
Addie loved being in the water... but she didn't like wearing the floaties. I'm going to have to really keep an eye on her this summer!

Austin has always been my water baby! Even when the rest of the kids went to warm up in the hot tub he would stay in the pool and swim.
The only way we got them out of the pool each day was to tell them they could get in our bath tub back at the condo. It was so huge... we could have fit another two or three kids in there!
