ConocoPhillips Christmas Party

We always look forward to Randy's work Christmas parties. They are very crowded... but the kids have so much fun! First things first, we always hit up the photographer before the lines get too long!
As I said, the kids have so much fun here. They always have so many fun things going on. Here is Avery making a Snowman and a Christmas card.
And of course we had to do the face paint!Austin picked a manly skeleton face. The girls stayed with the Christmas theme. Addie and Ashton got these cute reindeers (Addie is modeling hers) and Avery went with a pretty little snowflake.
And Santa always makes a stop! We were going to let each kid get individual pictures with Santa. Ashton started up first, very brave, but got halfway there and realized what she was doing... she turned right back around and started crying! Notice she is on Avery's lap- not Santa's!They also had this cute train with holes that you stuck your hand through and got a treat. I had to put a stop to my kids at this station! They all went through at least two times! A couple of them sneaked a third time... we won't mention but one might be in this picture!
And instead of a bean bag toss, there were snowballs to throw at the snowmen.Alyson Linehan, aka Grammy Alyson is one of the people in charge of the party, which is why it is always soooo great! Randy used to work with Alyson when he was in community relations and we adopted her! We LOVE our Grammy Alyson! Some people even ask if she really is Randy's mom! And after all those fun activities we get to head into the Auditorium for a concert. This year's entertainment....DIAMOND RIO!!!! We had great seats and the kids really enjoyed it! It took Randy and I back to our high school days. It was so great! I forgot just how much I love this group... it made me want to go home and download some songs. What a fun night!

Nana's Fun Project

Nana loves to come up with fun projects for the grandkids to do. This year it was chocolate mice!
But not only the grandkids had fun with this one! Awww.... that's so nice of you Austin to share with Auntie Mamie! So you have cherries and you dip them in chocolate (of course the stem of the cherry is the tail of the mouse). And while it's still hot you stick a Hershey kiss on the opposite end of the tail so it serves at the head. And then couple of almond slices in between the kiss and the cherry for ears! Oh, and then you lay it on a white chocolate oreo cookie! Avery is showing us the final project!
Aunt Maria also enjoyed making it with the kids! It was a super fun and easy project that the kids LOVED to make and EAT!!

Annual Roast

Another annual event that the kids love to do is our backyard weiner roast in the fire pit! Austin is always the first to get out there to help... and one of the last to leave! The day was a little on the rainy side, but not too cold. Our only concern was if we could get the firewood burning! But with the help of our eagle scouts, we got it going! Avery and Kinley waiting patiently for their turn at roasting hotdogs. Here I am with my Uncle Ed and my girls. Ashton, of course, ready to be held by her momma! My Uncle Ed and Aunt Maria also came from California to enjoy Thanksgiving. It was so great to have them there!
Aww... best buds Kimball and Addie sharing their chair! All the kids got along so well as always, and yet I am still amazed for some reason! After the hotdogs we topped it off with some yummy smores! A great dinner for a big crowd! You definitely get a little stinky but the cleanup is great!!

Bounce U

So, to my surprise- Randy showed up at the Jensen's!! We were so excited! He missed us so much and decided to fly in on Wednesday. He had Jordan and Jen pick him up at the airport. Jen asked Avery to go get her something in the car and Randy was hiding in the seat! Our family was together! So we celebrated by going to Bounce U! This has become a tradition... every time we go to Auntie Mamie's house the kids won't leave us alone until we have gone here!Needless to say, I took a ton of pictures! We love the slide that you need a blanket for to help go faster. Here is Austin at the bottom. They have so many fun inflatable toys, and Ashton was all too happy to have everyone take her down each one of them. Here she is with Kinley.I even got into the spirit! This was an obstacle course that I went through with Ashton and Addie. The kids again at the bottom of the slide that you use blankets with.
Avery and Randy taking a little break. We were still in shock that Randy was with us!
And a quick snap of me and my beautiful sister, Amy.
There's a fun spiderweb that's super high and then you slide down an inflatable slide. It seriously works your whole body! I had to go up with Addie twice and Austin once.Austin was actually good at this, but he wanted me to go with him one time. This was my mom and Avery after they made it through the web. My mom actually did it twice!
I was trying to get a picture of Jen and Kaylee racing over this inflatable toy, but all I got was their feet!
Looks like they are okay! Here's Avery and Karrington in the dodgeball course.
These silly kids... I think they had more fun than the younger kids! Jordan, Jen and Kaylee.
Like I said, Ashton got to go on rides with everyone! Here she is with Karrington.Jordan and Jen raced in the obstacle course over and over again. It was close, but I think Jordan won each time. Sorry Jen!
Fun times! It never gets old!

The John Kids

After our first trip to see Buddy, I knew this would be a great place for pictures! So the next time we went back, I attempted a few.
I like Ashton looking back on this one...and I like the way Addie is looking at Austin here. But there are a few too many shadows,This is one of my favorites. Again, I like how Austin and Addie are holding hands and conversing and I like that Ashton decided to just take a seat and play with the rocks.I spent a lot of time on this one because I like it so much, but if you notice my mom is right at the top of Addie's head! I tried so hard to take her out of the picture but I could never get it to work! Let me know if anyone has ideas!

And then I did individual pictures of the kids. Avery...
Austin...Addison...and last but not least- Ashton.
