A Weekend of Service

I'm so proud of my kids this weekend... they were involved in a few service projects and even though it wasn't their favorite thing, they knew what they were doing was good and important. We started Friday after school by cleaning the weeds out of my grandma's flowerbeds. My grandma's "love" is her yard and now that she's in the hospital my mom and I decided this would be a good service for our family to do. (I didn't take my camera to my grandma's house). This is the girls at our second service project Saturday morning... cleaning the park.
Actually Randy was in charge of coming up with a service project for our church ward, so he had the adults clearing out trees, shrubs and painting the bathroom at our Adams Golf Course (can you tell that this was Randy's idea!) and the kids picking up trash at the Sooner Park right next to the golf course. It was a great service project and we had a lot of people come out to help!
Here are the kids who came to help pick up the trash. We had a lot of people stop and tell us thank you, and it made us feel so good! Right after this we had Austin's soccer game, then one hour of rest before Avery's soccer game.
